A message from the Senior Class Council president

Hello, senior Buffs! My name is Jacob Baca, and I am writing to you as the new president of the Senior Class Council, representing the Class of 2024! I am excited to serve as the president of the council and help represent the seniors.

Senior Class Council (SCC) is a committee of students from the student body who represent the diverse interests and experiences of CU. Collectively, we work together to create events that celebrate seniors, select the commencement speaker, raise funds for the Senior Class Gift and craft the senior video to play at commencement. Through these roles, SCC partners with a variety of campus partners including the Center for Student Involvement, the CU Alumni Association and the Office of the Chancellor.

Senior Class Council has a variety of activities happening this semester and next, including the commencement speaker selection process. This year we will . SCC will also hold our first annual town hall on Thursday, Oct. 5, to share more about the selection process and take additional suggestions for speakers. This effort will help bolster our selection process. We deeply appreciate your input.

If you would like to be more involved in this process and join Senior Class Council, please .

Finally, I want to share a few thoughts before I see you all at commencement: Our class had one of the weirdest and unique starts to college ever. With this, so many unique and unpredictable connections and memories were formed. As we come to the halfway point of the semester, I encourage you to reflect on your time at CU and the people in your life now. Enjoy your time with them and take care of your communities.

To a great fall semester filled with rest, laughter and good people.

All the best,

Jacob Baca
Senior Class Council President
