Fall is here Buffs! This week brings fall treats, two chances to see the nationally-ranked CU women's soccer team, the 彩民宝典 Fall Powwow, a health and wellness event and more.

Monday, Sept. 23

   2鈥3 p.m.    UMC North Dining Room 
Celebrate the autumn season with sweet fall treats and learn about different campus organizations. Hosted by the Center for Student Involvement and the CU Pride Office.

Planning to attend an upcoming Career Fair? Join this event to learn more about what to wear, what to bring, ways to work on your elevator speech and find what you're looking for on the fair map in advance. All first-generation students are welcome.

Add some flair to your room or apartment with your very own DIY fridge magnet. All supplies are provided, space is limited and to attend. 

鈥楻eservation Dogs鈥 actor, environmental activist Dallas Goldtooth talk

   7 p.m.   Macky Auditorium   $2
Perhaps best known for his role as William Knifeman in the FX series 鈥淩eservation Dogs,鈥 Goldtooth brings a unique perspective to the issues of environmental justice and environmental racism, which are central to this talk. .

Culture Crawl

Discover and connect with 彩民宝典 arts and culture. The Culture Crawl is back for its fourth year. Stop by 15-plus events throughout the day including exhibitions, food tastings, performances, art making, prize giveaways and more.

Discover the ins and outs of event planning with other student leaders. This event is a part of the Build a Buff Leadership Luncheons series.

Stop by Wardenburg and share your thoughts, needs and aspirations around health and well-being with Associate Vice Chancellor Jess Doty. Whether you have ideas to improve campus wellness or questions to ask, your voice matters. Snacks will be provided, so stop by, connect, and contribute to shaping the future of student health and wellness!

Learn more about being a resident advisor (RA) at 彩民宝典! As an RA, you will gain leadership skills, work with a diverse group of people, create an inclusive community and so much more. At this information session, you will learn more about the RA role and the application process and timeline.

Mental health concerns are common. As a leader, you may be in a unique position to notice and intervene when someone is struggling. Join this workshop to learn what mental health looks like at CU, how to recognize and respond when someone is struggling, and how to connect someone with relevant resources while maintaining healthy boundaries.

Join fellow Buffs for an evening of celebrating the Latinx excellence in gaming. Experience free games in the Gaming Lounge created by Latinx creators/developers or that center the Latinx experience.

This workshop is tailored for international graduate students serving or preparing to serve as teaching assistants (TAs). You'll learn strategies for fielding student questions and providing appropriate responses, as well as how to ask insightful questions and follow-up questions to gauge student comprehension.

  • : From Sept. 24 to 26, help fight food insecurity on campus by participating in Swipe It Forward. Anyone with a meal plan can donate one meal swipe per day. As you check out, tell the cashier you would like to donate. 顿辞苍鈥檛 have a meal plan but still want to help? or register to volunteer.
  • . Student flu shots are available for students and graduate students. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins can be accommodated depending on availability.

Grab your Buff OneCard and head over to Fiske Planetarium to enjoy Free Fiske Thursday! All 7 p.m. shows and star talks are free for 彩民宝典 students on Thursdays.

Join fellow art aficionados to create a work of art that even the beginning painter can be proud of! Take some time to relax and learn from a pro. This is a great way to engage with your peers while creating a painting you can鈥檛 wait to show off! All supplies included.   


Friday, Sept. 27

The Rec offers Free Friday Power Hour each week as a preview of all the fitness classes it has to offer. No experience is required to join鈥攊t鈥檚 free with your Buff OneCard.

Come out and connect with new climbing partners! Share a belay, a spot, some beta or try out a partner boulder problem. Meet some new friends to climb with indoors and out. Free to climbing gym members or day pass holders.

Saturday, Sept. 28

The Native and Indigenous students, staff and faculty at 彩民宝典 are excited to invite the campus community and beyond to join a vibrant day filled with dancing, drumming, music, food and celebration.

   9 a.m.鈥3 p.m.    UMC South Terrace
CU in the Community is a series of one-time, student-led volunteer projects offered in collaboration with local nonprofit organizations. The Yard Busters program connects our community with seniors facing the challenge of cleaning up debris or overgrowth in their yard. Volunteers will visit seniors鈥 homes to help with basic yard cleanup, provide friendly interactions, and promote safety and peace of mind.


Sunday, Sept. 29

Kick off your Sunday afternoon by supporting your CU women's soccer team as they take on the Kansas Jayhawks on the pitch.
