Engineering students plan large regional conference

Two engineering students, Yohannese Gebremedhin and Arthur Antoine, organized the 2016 National Society of Black Engineers鈥 (NSBE) Fall Region 6 Conference, to be held Nov. 4鈥6 in Denver. The event has attracted hundreds of people from the region, and registration is still open.

This Thursday, Nov. 3, Boulder Campus Staff Council and CU Student Government will host a town hall debate on Amendment 69, also known as ColoradoCare. The debate will be held from 5 to 6:15 p.m. in the Abrams Lounge in the Center for Community (C4C). Ron Vejrostek, a spokesperson for ColoradoCare, and Michael Cooke, campaign manager for Coloradans for Coloradans (a group opposed to Amendment 69), will debate the amendment and its impact on Colorado residents. A question-and-answer session will follow.
