How to use Transferology

Select the See what听courses transfer button to see how听your credits will transfer to the University of Colorado听Boulder. (Watch the Will My Courses Transfer how-to video on their homepage for help)
1. Enter all the courses you have taken or are planning to take at your current school, then click Search for Matches. You will听see the results for the University of Colorado听Boulder.
2. To request advising or ask a question, select the Request Information button on the University of Colorado听Boulder information page. Check desired fields,听add a message with your major of interest included and听submit your request. A 彩民宝典 transfer credit specialist will get back to you.
Select the Find a Replacement Course button if you are not planning on leaving your current institution but need to take a course somewhere else for credit at your current school.听(Watch the Find a Replacement Course how-to video on their homepage for help)

Transfer Credit

Knowing what is required to transfer can help you map an appropriate academic schedule for your remaining terms at your current school. Credits must be academic in nature and completed at a C- or higher.

The goal of this process is to recognize previous work that you have completed that meet our standards for academic content and rigor. Our policies and procedures for transfer and applicability of course credits to a 彩民宝典 degree incorporate these basic principles:

We expect to verify whether or not the student's experience at the other institution is appropriately commensurate with the experience of students in similar courses offered by 彩民宝典 with respect to content, academic level, scope and relevance.听
Can that experience of reasonable comparability and applicability be documented in some manner, (e.g. coming from a fully accredited college or university)?
Can that experience of reasonable comparability and applicability be documented by the student via other means such as textbooks, syllabi, exams, papers, projects, etc?

Higher Education Admission Recommendations

Transfer students applying to undergraduate programs are strongly encouraged to meet the following .听
Students may be admitted to 彩民宝典 even though they have not completed all of the HEAR courses. There are no consequences if HEAR is not met. However, not completing HEAR might result in taking additional courses to meet the 彩民宝典 graduation requirements of individual majors.

Articulation Agreements

allow you to graduate from a Colorado community college with a 60-credit Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree and complete the bachelor鈥檚 degree in no more than an additional 60 credits. Institutional transfer pathways are available for the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering and Applied Science for majors that do not have a statewide articulation agreement.

International Transfer Credit Evaluations

We offer two types of transfer credit evaluations for international students, both of which are completed after a student has been admitted to 彩民宝典.

A听Full Transfer Credit Evaluation听is an in-depth review of all course-work previously completed at recognized colleges and/or universities for applicability toward 彩民宝典 degree and graduation requirements.听 In order to complete a Full Transfer Credit Evaluation for courses taken outside of the United States, we require听full and complete official course descriptions听of each course taken, which should include each course鈥檚 specific academic content.听 If these course descriptions are not in English, you must provide a听Certified English Translation听(see below for details). It is strongly recommended that you submit听full and complete听course descriptions with all other required application materials. Information submitted should be in PDF format for each course and should be sent to听TCHelp@colorado.edu. Please include your full name.
If we do not receive full and complete course descriptions, you will receive a听Preliminary Transfer Credit Evaluation.听This preliminary evaluation is a general review of how course-work previously completed at recognized colleges and/or universities听might听transfer to the 彩民宝典. A Preliminary Credit Evaluation will identify those courses that appear to be academic in nature and are transferable, but will likely not provide information on how those courses will count toward degree completion and/or graduation requirements.

A Special Note on Certified English Translations

If a course description is not in English, you will need to get a literal, certified (or official) English translation. It should not be interpretive. A certified (or official) translation will be different depending on what is considered an official translation in your country. In some countries, official translations are only issued by the school. In other countries, official government translators issue official translations.听Some countries do not offer translations through a government network, and the student must find a private translation service to issue the translation.听We also suggest that you visit or consult with听听to see if it offers translations, or can refer you to a service.

First-Year Applicants

First-year applicants are in high school, or have graduated from high school but have not taken any college courses after graduating or earning a GED.

Transfer Applicants

Transfer applicants have attended another college or university since earning their high school diploma or GED. Transfer applicants are looking to complete a bachelor鈥檚 degree at 彩民宝典.

International Applicants

Undergraduate international applicants are students who need a visa to be in the U.S. Apply as a domestic student if you have a U.S. passport or green card.
