Nate has held various roles in higher education. In the ²ÊÃñ±¦µä Office of ²ÊÃñ±¦µä, he led teamsÌýthat set repeated enrollment records of underrepresented minorities and out-of-state students. In the College of Engineering and Applied Science, he led staff, students, and faculty that set repeated enrollment records of women into the college and co-founded the NSF-funded Engineering GoldShirt Program and the BOLD Center. He is a past recipient of the CU System’s Diversity & Inclusive Excellence Grant. At the University of Denver, Nate developed new partnerships in Iraq, India, Thailand, Angola, and the Persian Gulf to enroll students in engineering and computer science degree programs. While recruiting in Baghdad, heÌýreceived the "Partnership in Education" award from Iraqi PM Nouri Al-Maliki.Ìý
Nate was born in Minnesota, where his father played with the Minnesota Vikings. He was raised in San Diego and played football for the Buffs from 1997-2001. Nate has lived and traveled across Europe, Africa, the Persian Gulf, and Asia. He served with the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso and studied Arabic on a sabbatical in Amman, Jordan. During his free time, NateÌýenjoys spending time with his wife and three children and coaching youth sports.
