First-Year Application Requirements

²ÊÃñ±¦µä is a Common Application school, and you can apply for direct admission to Leeds by selecting business as your intended major when you apply. Please visit our First-Year Student Selection Process to better understand our admission criteria and selection process. For a complete application, you will need to submit the following:

  • Common Application
  • Transcript
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Application fee
  • Personal essays
  • SAT / ACT Score (optional)

Transfer Students

Students from outside ²ÊÃñ±¦µä who are interested in transferring into Leeds are required to have the following to be considered for admission:

  • GPA Requirement:
    • A cumulative college GPA of at least 3.0
  • Required Coursework
    • Completion of the following courses with a grade of B-minus or higher:
      • Microeconomics (equivalent to CU's ECON2010)
      • Macroeconomics (equivalent to CUs ECON2020)
      • Statistics or Calculus
        • Business statistics is strongly preferred, but general statistics is accepted
        • If possible to take a course equivalent to CU's BCOR1025, that is ideal
  • GPA Requirement:
    • A cumulative college GPA of at least 3.20
  • Required Coursework
    • Completion of the following courses with a grade of B or higher:
      • Microeconomics (equivalent to CU's ECON2010)
      • Macroeconomics (equivalent to CUs ECON2020)
      • Statistics (business statistics is strongly preferred, but general statistics is accepted)
        • If possible to take a course equivalent to CU's BCOR1025, that is ideal
  • A Note on AP/IB/CLEP Exam Scores
    • We will accept exam scores to satisfy the required courses listed above if scores qualify for direct equivalency credit through ²ÊÃñ±¦µä:
      • Microeconomics - ECON2010
        • AP Microeconomics score: 4/5
        • CLEP Microeconomics score: 54+
      • Macroeconomics - ECON2020
        • AP Macroeconomics score: 4/5
        • CLEP Macroeconomics score: 54+
      • Statistics - MATH2510
        • AP Statistics score: 4/5
        • Please note: Students will be granted CU credit for MATH2510, and it will fulfill the statistics admissions requirement; however, students will still need to take CU's BCOR1025 as part of their degree requirements. AP Stats does not fulfill that course requirement specifically.

  • Academic interest statement
  • College transcript (high school transcript also required if you have fewer than 24 college credits)
