While working at IBM,听Jennifer Hatfield听(Advert) submitted many patent disclosures for the IBM Call for Code Embrace initiative, which seeks to support racial justice by calling on Congress for change. Jennifer writes that it was very rewarding to connect with others and use technology to make the world a better place.

Attorney听William Blackwell听(Advert) of Zephyr Cove, Nevada, will be featured in the documentary听Lust For Gold, A Race Against Time,听in the October 2020 Arizona Film Festival. It follows a team of adventurers, including William, that are on a quest for gold in the mountains of Eastern Arizona.听

Aly Jamison听(Comm) won a Stevie American Business Award for her work in the communications field. Aly currently works for the sales training company RAIN Group in San Diego as public relations director. She is also a San Diego Blood Bank 鈥淕allon Donor.鈥�

Erich Schubert听(Jour; MA鈥�08) has been promoted to senior director of communications and content for the Denver Broncos. In his thirteenth season with the Broncos, Schubert鈥檚 role now involves overseeing both the day-to-day functions of the public relations department as well as managing the club鈥檚 digital and social teams. While working on his master鈥檚 at CU, Eric worked as a graduate assistant under associate athletic director and sports information director听David Plati听(闯辞耻谤鈥�82).

Bobby Gehlen (Jour) is a production assistant for ABC News in Washington, D.C. He writes for ABC鈥檚 digital听team and field produces for Good Morning America and World News Tonight. In addition, Bobby produces for ABC News live, a streaming platform, covering politics and local stories in Washington.

Hayley Sanchez (Jour) is an afternoon and weekend general assignment reporter and producer with Colorado Public Radio. She joined CPR full time after completing a yearlong fellowship with the station. Before that, she was a digital producer with The Arizona Republic in Phoenix.

Following graduation, Nicole Seles (Comm, MediaSt) moved to New York City. After a stint at Karla Otto, a public relations agency, she accepted a position at Louis Vuitton, where she is on the celebrity and influencer relations team.

Jessica Farris (MJour) recently published, Once Upon a Word: An Etymology Dictionary for Kids (Rockridge Press, 2020). She has worked in media and publishing for several years and has served as a content strategist, online content director and editor of several magazines, including Adweek and Writer鈥檚 Digest.

Morgan (Tholen) Dannewitz (Comm) is a suite services coordinator for the Super Bowl LIV champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. She and her husband, Ryan (Psych鈥�12), live in Overland Park, Kansas. After five years of NFL experience, Morgan now manages business relationships and contract assets. She spent most of her college years in CU鈥檚 Sports Information Office as a student assistant.

In October 2019, Catherine Bogart (Jour) joined the New Jersey Devils organization as an associate producer and host. She contributes to the content听team鈥檚 player interviews, community features and game coverage. Previously, Catherine worked for the Boston University men's ice hockey team as a rink-side and team reporter.

Christie Sounart Henry (Jour) is the senior associate editor of the Coloradan, 彩民宝典鈥檚 alumni magazine. She has worked for the publication for more than 10 years. She and her husband, Levi Henry (Math), live in Westminster with their son and enjoy traveling whenever possible.

Ryley Thornton (Advert) recently moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, after seven years in New York where he attended Miami Ad School. After working for agencies like Young & Rubicam and mcgarrybowen, Ryley is now a senior brand strategist for Tombras.

Vignesh Ramachandran (Jour) is the senior editor for The Juggernaut. He has spent nearly the last decade in reporting, editing and production roles at various newsrooms, including ProPublica, NBC News Digital, Mashable, Peninsula Press (in partnership with KQED and SFGate), and the Stanford Computational Journalism Lab. He has also written for NPR, The Marshall Project, OZY and the Knight Foundation.

Taylor (Coughlin) Garner (Jour) recently moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with her family after having a son in April. She most recently worked as a communication specialist for Nashville-based HCA, where she graduated from the Leadership Development Program in January. She plans to continue her work in communications in North Carolina.

Jacob Elyachar (Jour) is celebrating the ninth anniversary of his entertainment news website, jakes-take.com. He has interviewed several Epic Records artists and alumni from reality TV shows, including America's Got Talent, Big Brother, The Challenge and Survivor. He covered the New York Comedy Festival, New York Comic-Con and the Wolfpack Ninjas鈥� visit to the New York Open. He also launched the Jake鈥檚 Take with Jacob Elyachar podcast.

Andrew Woodruff (Advert, Mktg) is vice president in account management for TBWA WorldHealth, which specializes in pharmaceutical advertising. He has worked in telecom, cable and internet, health care, and new business. Andrew married his wife, Melissa, in September 2018. They live in Chicago and love to travel, golf, cook and take ski trips back to Colorado.

In August 2019, Kerstin Ulf (Advert) was named brand and marketing director for Protect Our Winters, a nonprofit based in Boulder that works with athletes, thought pioneers and forward-thinking business leaders to affect systemic political solutions to climate change. Kerstin previously worked at Crispin Porter + Bogusky and Levi Strauss. She is a passionate backcountry skier and mountain biker.

Allie Sandza (Jour) is a senior producer for NBC News鈥� Meet the Press, where she has worked since 2017. She lives in Washington, D.C.

In July 2019, Jackson Lansing (StratComm'18) started as a production assistant at WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C., where he assisted in covering the Washington Nationals鈥� 2019 World Series championship, the impeachment inquiries and COVID-19 developments. He is training to become a newscast director and hopes to continue to travel, write and enjoy the great outdoors as his career progresses.

After a 34-year career, Richard Spiegel (MJour) retired from the U.S. Army in October 2019. He and his wife, Polly (PolSci鈥�90), then took a five-month road trip and tour throughout the United States. In March 2020, Rich joined the Veterans Administration as the chief for stakeholder engagement with the Office of Accountability and Whistleblower Protection. He and Polly live in Bethesda, Maryland.
