 The first session or 'intake' gives us an opportunity to get to know you, your situation, and information about your history. Following the intake, you may receive up to 6 additional sessions focusing on current work-related, personal, or family concerns.

In some limited situations, information may be released as follows:

  • The client signs a Release of Information form authorizing specific information to be released to a specific person(s), provider group, or organization contact for a determined purpose and for a determined timeframe;
  • A disclosure is directed by court order;
  • The client is determined to be in immediate danger of harming self or another person, persons, and/or place;
  • Information shared with the counselor reveals concerns related to suspected/possible abuse of a child, dependent, or elder. Per Colorado state law, counselors are 'mandatory reporters' of child and elder abuse and are also required by law to report any suspected abuse.

FSAP Let’s Chat

Let’s Chat is a no cost service where ²ÊÃñ±¦µä staff and faculty can schedule an informal and confidential consultation with an FSAP counselor Monday through Friday between 2-3pm via telehealth or in-person. Speaking with a counselor in a confidential setting can help you access support, provide perspective, help you explore resources and options, and discuss how counseling might be helpful. Let’s Chat sessions are usually 30-minutes.

Let’s Chat counselors can provide insight, solutions, and information about additional resources. Employees commonly visit with concerns about stress, workplace conflict, relationships, family problems, health care access concerns, and financial or food insecurity.

Please note: This service is not a substitute for formal counseling and does not constitute mental health treatment. Let’s Chat is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or feel unsafe, please contact Real Help Hotline (833-533-2428), visit your nearest hospital, or dial 911. Please note: If you dial 911, all emergency responders will arrive, including fire, ambulance, and police.

Concerning Incidents
