Course Description
Employee Management and Compliance Essentials is a blended course that provides managers and supervisors with a comprehensive overview of legal guidelines, campus policies, and ²ÊÃñ±¦µä practices related to employee management and development.
This course includes live, online facilitated sessions as well as to fit your unique schedule. Participants who attend all live sessions and self-paced online modules are eligible for a certificate of completion.
Learning Outcomes
- Pre-employment essentials (position management, compensation, and recruitment).
- Employee development guidelines and strategies (onboarding, performance management, and progressive discipline).
- Special topics in employee management (federal and campus policies and procedures related to discrimination and harassment; the Americans with Disabilities Act; and the Family Medical Leave).
Who should attend
Anyone who supervises employees on the ²ÊÃñ±¦µä campus. Aspiring supervisors are also welcome to attend.
