Reminders when traveling on sponsored projects

Congratulations on nearing completion of the spring semester.Ìý As you begin preparations for travel during the summer, the Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) would like to remind you of the following:

  • – Implemented in March 2017, the Department of Homeland Security requires all passengers traveling on direct flights to the United States from 10 select airports to store all personal electronic devices larger than smart phones in checked baggage.
  • – Many Federal awards are governed by the Fly America Act that requires use of U.S. air carrier service for all air travel regardless of cost, convenience or destination.
  • – The Federal government stipulates that the least expensive compact car is rented, unless another class of vehicle can be justified.
  • - Medical and Evacuation coverage for those on University Business can be provided for those that enroll.Ìý The CU Group Access Code Number is QHG99999UCBT
  • - Travel Assistance and Consulting services that include real time intelligence reports that can be accessed with CU’s Membership Number 11BCASooooo6
