You need to complete preregistration听before you're allowed to register for听classes each semester.
Access Preregistration
Once a semester's听classes are posted in 彩民宝典 Class Search, follow the steps below to access preregistration from that system or Buff Portal.
To access preregistration from Buff Portal:

Follow this link to Buff Portal's听听(you may be prompted to log in).

Select "Prepare" to expand that section, then听select "Go to Preregistration."听(Note: If you don't see this link, then you've already completed preregistration for the chosen semester.)

If prompted, select the term you're enrolling in, then select "Continue."

Complete all preregistration steps (see section below for details).
To access preregistration from 彩民宝典 Class Search:

Log in to .

Click the cart icon on the upper right.

In the "Complete Preregistration" alert, click the "complete preregistration" link. (Note: If you don't see this alert, then you've already completed preregistration for the chosen semester.)

Clear听your browser cache and try听again (instructions by browser: , , , ).

Access preregistration through Buff Portal instead (follow听the steps on the "Buff Portal" tab above).

If prompted, select the term you're enrolling in, then select "Continue."

Complete all听preregistration steps.

Once finished, go back to 彩民宝典 Class Search and click the refresh icon to the right of the "Complete Preregistration" alert to clear it.
About Your Preregistration Items
This first preregistration page contains听three sections:
听

Home: You probably already have a home address in the system; confirm that it's correct. To make a change, select "Edit." If you have an international address, be sure to select "Change Country."

Local: If you know the address you'll be at while taking classes this semester, select "Add a New Address" to provide it.

If not, re-enter your home address for now and replace it later by following the steps on Update Your Contact Information.

If you don't have a U.S. address, you may enter the university's address (2055 Regent Dr., Boulder, CO 80309) for now and听replace it听later听by following the steps on Update Your Contact Information.

Tick the verification checkbox.
听

Select "Add a Phone Number"听to provide your domestic cell/mobile听number (phone numbers requiring a country code are not accepted). If you don't have a domestic cell number, enter 000-000-0000.

A home phone number is not required; however, if one is listed, confirm that it's correct.

Tick the verification checkbox.
Emergency Contacts
If you're involved in or experience a health or safety emergency, the university will contact whoever is listed here. At least one emergency contact is required.

Select "Add an Emergency Contact"听and enter the information for your听primary contact.听

If there are other people you'd like to include as emergency contacts, add them as other contacts.

Tick the verification checkbox.

Select "Continue"听to move on.
Emergency Alert Translation
You have the option to receive emergency alerts in languages other than English. This optional selection听only applies to emergency alerts sent by email and text message, and will not apply to safety alerts, advisories or other official communications you receive from 彩民宝典.
To change your preferred language for emergency alerts:

In the "Emergency Alert Language Preference" section, choose from the available translation language options in the "Preferred Language" dropdown.

Select "Continue" to move on.
Students at 彩民宝典 are obligated to pay all tuition, fees and charges, as outlined in the tuition and fee agreement and disclosure. For details or to download a copy of the agreement, see听Payment Agreement on the Bursar's Office website.
- Read the disclosure carefully.
- Click听"I Agree"听to move on.
This is the last page of preregistration for out-of-state and graduate students. Undergraduate Colorado residents proceed to听a third preregistration page.
This page only appears for undergraduate Colorado residents; all other students have now completed preregistration.

Find the correct term and click "Update Authorization."

Tick the checkbox next to "Authorize," then click "Submit."

Click "Confirm."
-
Click "Continue to Enroll" to complete preregistration.
You can authorize COF or revoke your authorization听at any time.
听
There's no limit to the number of eligible students who receive COF, and you never have to pay it back.

Follow the link to apply for COF.

Select "Continue to Enroll"听to complete preregistration.
