The Colorado Shakespeare Festival is branching out in its efforts to curb bullying among young people in Colorado schools. Beyond visiting schools with its "upstander" message, the festival - in partnership with the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence, also based at ²ÊÃñ±¦µä - has created an educational video with an important message: you have the choice to make your world a safer place.

When Daphne Virlar-Knight (EBio’17) graduates in May, she will have spent four years with The Herd, one of ²ÊÃñ±¦µä’s largest student groups on campus. The group coordinates several university traditions including the Nearly Naked Mile — the largest student clothing drive at CU, the St. Baldrick’s Day fundraiser for youth cancer survivors, professional development workshops and football tailgates.

Applications to the University of Colorado Law School are up 38 percent, setting a record for the most applications ever received in an admissions cycle and the highest median GPA of an incoming class.

You are on one of the most beautiful college campuses in the U.S. As the chief of the police department, I will assure you that the top priority for every member of our department is to make sure that you have a safe environment to pursue your academic goals.

There has been a change in the way office supplies are delivered across campus. Starting on Aug. 1, Staples began delivering all orders to the CU Distribution Center as a bulk delivery. CU Distribution then delivers the orders on their daily mail, package and freight runs to departments and units across campus.

The New Employee Welcome Experience is the first event in a comprehensive, year-long onboarding experience designed to increase the understanding of ²ÊÃñ±¦µä’s culture, organizational structure and governance, operations, learning mission, values and campus initiatives. The program is offered to new, permanent employees. This program is recommended for employees in their first 30-45 days of employment.

Arriving on campus and adjusting to a new social environment is an exciting time for undergraduate and graduate students, but it’s also when students are most likely to run into trouble. The fall semester is when incoming students experience the most thefts, stitches, tickets and sexual assaults—which is why people need skills to interrupt these situations before they become a problem.
