Is there a payment plan?
Yes, payment plans are available via credit card on the registration form. Please be aware that we are unable to issue refunds for program registration and that making the first payment is a commitment to complete program payment, even for students who later choose to withdraw from the program. CESR relies on the support from this program to deliver on our mission to empower current and future business leaders to drive solutions to environmental, social, and ethical challenges, and any student’s failure to complete payment has a significant impact on our operations.

Can I pay via check?
If your employer requires to pay by check we can accomodate those reqeusts. Make sure your employer makes the check payable to the University of Colorado, put “Sustainability and Social Impact” and your name in the memo portion, and mail to the address below. If I pay via check, do I still need to fill out the online form?
No, you do not need to fill out the online form if you’re paying via check. Our team will register you for the course once we receive your payment. Email us at cesr@colorado.edu so that we know your check is coming.

After I’m registered, what next? Will I need to do anything before the course starts?
Once our team receives your tuition payment, you’re all set! The instructor will reach out to you about two weeks before the course starts with information about the Google Group and the first class session.

If you’ve paid via payment plan, be sure to create reminders for when your second and third payments are due.

What time is the class?
In the fall and spring semester we offer several different cohorts offered on different days in order to best accommodate our students professional lives. Please refer to the registration page on the most up-to-date information regarding days and times of the class. Each class will take place once a week at a defined time that won’t change during the semester.

Which cohort or day wouldyou recommend?
Whichever day and time is most convenient for you.

What is the duration of the course?
There are 14 sessions in 16 weeks (with two weeks off which vary each semester and are determined by the instructor).

What online platforms does the class use?
We use Zoom for the online classes (and to record in-person classes). In the online class, we aim to keep it highly interactive (using features like breakout rooms and the hand-raising function). For distribution of weekly readings and other communication, we use Microsoft OneDrive and Google Groups.

Who often takes the class?
A wide range of people -- from individuals right out of undergrad to mid-career (25+ years) professionals, but very few folks already in ESG jobs. About 25-30% of participants are from nonprofit and the rest are from for-profits of all sizes, including large public companies like Bank of America, Schwab, Unilever, T-Mobile, Oracle, Amazon and more.

Does the course offer job search help?
No, but we dedicate a portion of one session to discussing tips and offering advice for finding jobs in the sustainability and social impact space. We also have a LinkedIn group for alumni and participants. You may also email cesr@colorado.edu to be added to the email list where jobs are often shared. We will add you to the alumni group when the course begins.

What are the requirements to “pass”?
Students must attend at least 10 sessions of the 14 sessions, and come fully prepared (do the 3.5 to 4 hours of pre-work each week).

Are refunds available?
No refunds are available. CESR relies on the support from this program to deliver on our mission to empower current and future business leaders to drive solutions to environmental, social, and ethical challenges, and any student’s failure to complete payment once committing to do so has a significant impact on our operations. For additional questions on refunds, please contact cesr@colorado.edu.

If the class is sold out for the upcoming semester, can I be put on a waitlist?
Yes, email us at cesr@colorado.edu to be put on the waitlist for the class and we will notify you if a spot becomes available.

What if I have additional questions?
You can always sign up for one of our info sessions or send us an email at cesr@colorado.edu or to get your questions answered in real time.
