´¡²õÌýChancellor Phil DiStefano expressed, our hearts go out to the individuals impacted by the devastating act of violence in Boulder today. Many of our faculty and staff may be experiencing anxiety, stress and grief related to this and other acts of violence that have taken place across the country in recent weeks.Â
It is not always apparent who might be struggling or in need of support in the aftermath of such events. Supervisors, it is important to check in with employees, make sure they are aware of available resources, and reaffirm they are part of a community that cares about them. If you are a supervisor and have not already checked in with your team, please do so and also be sure to care for yourselves.  Additionally, while classes are expected to take place on Tuesday, we ask that supervisors be flexible if employees need to take time away from work.Â
The Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) and the Office of Victim Assistance (OVA) are available to assist any employee who may have been affected by this incident. FSAP and OVA can provide free and confidential counseling and psychological support. Additionally, if you or any member of our campus community are experiencing a psychiatric emergency or need to speak to someone after work hours, please call the Real Help Hotline (833-533-2428) to access a free and confidential crisis counselor 24/7/365.
Take care of one another,Â
