Room Rates

Single and double room rates are $210 per night, plus an additional 12.485% tax. There will be a limited number of rooms at the special price, so reserve early. A credit card will be needed at check-in to cover any incidental room charges. If no services are charged to the room (restaurant, bar, etc.) then the credit card will not be charged. (October 22, 2024) Reservations are not yet available at the St. Julien. We expect reservations to open soon. We will notify ISGW registrants when rooms are available.

There are many other options of places to stay nearby the St Julien (900 Walnut St), including hotels and homestays/vacations rentals (e.g., Airbnb, Vrbo). We recommend that you secure a place to stay as soon as possible.

The closest airport to Boulder is , which is approximately 45 miles from Boulder.
If you do not live near a hub airport, your best option for getting a non-stop flight to Denver is on , , or .

We highly recommend that you wear a mask at the airport and on your flights prior to arrival, as this will lessen the probability that you fall ill during the workshop.

Ground Transportation

There are to get to Boulder from the airport:

  • , is $10 each way (when looking at the bus schedule, "Westbound" is to Boulder and "Eastbound" is to the airport; be sure to select weekday, Saturday, or Sunday as appropriate). Fares can be paid in cash on the bus (they will not make change on the bus, so make sure you have $10), or with RTD's . The $10 airport fare can be used as a day pass if you plan to make additional bus trips in Boulder. The bus . To get to Denver Airport Station, when you exit the aircraft, follow signs for baggage claim or the transit center. You will need to board the airport tram to get to Jeppesen Terminal where baggage claim and ground transportation is located. Busses are found at The DEN Transit Center, which can be accessed at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal by exiting through the glass doors and taking the escalator or elevator down to ground level. The AB1 bus terminates at the Boulder Downtown Station, which is less than five blocks from the St. Julien (walk west down Walnut St until you come to the St Julien entrance; see map ). We highly recommend taking the AB1 bus due to its cost and convenience. 
    (NOTE: there is a train from the airport called the A Line, but it does NOT go to Boulder. It only goes to downtown Denver. Do not take it if you want to go directly to Boulder.)

Linked are driving directions for taking the ($8), or from the airport to the hotel. The tollroad can be much quicker because it has less traffic than I-70. Most rental car companies have toll passes in their rental cars so toll charges will be paid through the rental agencies, often with a significant surcharge.
