Palestinian Social Movements in Health: Sumud Through the Provision of Healthcare

Part of the Israel/Palestine Series, this talk by Dr. Weeam Hammoudah focused on the social mobilization around healthcare that began in Palestine in the late 1970s and 80s within the infrastructure of Sumud (steadfastness) and grew into the establishment of a Palestinian led primary healthcare system under Israeli occupation.

From Routine to Murder: Anatomy in Nazi Germany and its Legacies for Today

The Program in Jewish Studies, in collaboration with the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, hosted Dr. Sabine Hildebrandt, co-chair of the Lancet Commission on medicine, Nazism and the Holocaust, for a discussion on the history of anatomy in Nazi Germany and its contemporary implications.
